It's been a great summer! We've been super busy, but it's been a great (and hot!!!) run.
Morgie is doing great in her new home! We've been spoiling her rotten and trying to figure out her little personality...and boy does she have one! She's like a little cocklebur - always stuck to a human.
Morgie likes to walk ahead of the pack. It's a lot easier to avoid being trampled. I'm amazed at how quickly they all learned how to move in sync. It's so much fun taking them out!
Ezzie and Morgie have made peace and found mutual respect for each other. Esmeralda can be a little, let's just say, enthusiastic. She tries very, very hard to be gentle. She will lay on the floor and allow Morgie to chase circles around her. Ezzie responds by using her head to gently nudge Morgie in a playful counter attack. This goes on for a while until Ezzie pins her down with a massive (but gentle) paw hold. You can practically see Ezzie bursting with restraint. When it gets to be too much, and she boils over into full puppy mode, Morgie demonstrates her abilities akin to an Olympic sprinter. She high tails it for cover...and almost always succeeds. In those rare instances where Ezzie catches Morgie, the game is on. The fierce beast in our little 4.7 pound Chihuahua goes all royal rumble smackdown on Ezzie. And then they go right back to being buds.
Morgie prefers the scenic view for her naps and finds the perch in some interesting places.
No need to bend down to pick up any wayward bits of chow at our house - the live-in cleaners are always ready to spring into action.
I think our little pound puppy is feeling at home...love this girl!
