I look forward every day to coming home to my family, including my pets. The joy our pets bring to our lives is indescribable. I love it that they are always so happy, so eager to please, and so adorable. With our latest addition, Morgie, we have the best of all canine worlds. A lap dog! That fits! She is slowly but surely gaining her confidence. She eats with the Aussies now and will reluctantly spend some time outside with them. Ezzie wants her to play in the worst way, and she seems like she might possibly, someday, in the unforeseeable future, warm up to the idea. For now, she very verbally sets boundaries with Miss Esmeralda.
Morgie is like a first alert system. She has these freakish ears that allow her to hear the slightest sound. She goes off and the Aussies come a runnin; they are the muscle.
Our cat weighs a little over sixteen pounds. Morgie weighs five. Morgie likes to chase the cat and it's probably a good thing for him, the exercise aspect and all. We've learned that he's a lot more agile than we would have guessed. In an elephant in a China shop sort of way.
